Job is the CEO and co-founder of Remote. Job previously worked as a neuroscientist before leaving academia to become the VP of Product at GitLab, the world’s largest all-remote company, where he hired talent in 67 different countries. Job is a sought-after presenter, speaking on topics related to scaling a remote-first startup, remote culture, and the future of work. Job has two kids and five hundred hobbies.

Marcelo is the COO and co-founder of Remote. Marcelo was previously VP of Engineering at Unbabel and has held several CTO positions. He frequently speaks at events about leadership and managing remote teams. Marcelo is also a startup advisor and mentor to entrepreneurs. He is a passionate engineer, proud dad, and sci-fi nerd.

Alanna Brown

Francesco is an ex-Bain and c-level professional with a track record of successfully working with early stage startups across the globe. He helped scale Onfido, an online identity verification platform, from 15 to 500 employees. Francesco has extensive experience in product, operations, international expansion, and strategy. He holds a Masters degree in Nuclear Engineering and is fluent in five languages.

Francesco Cardi

Paula is a veteran of the software industry spanning Silicon Valley and Europe and author of Get on Track, the playbook for building a top-notch program management office. She leads with superior organizational, managerial, and technical skills to level up engineering, product, program management and operations teams. She's obsessive about helping companies run well. 

Paula Dieli

Filipa is the VP of Special Operations at Remote. With a background in law and HR/People Operations, she brings a dynamic and passionate approach to lead high impact projects across Remote. Her prior roles include Head of People at Circ and People Operations Manager at Unbabel. She is a jazz enthusiast and plays the bass in her spare time.

Filipa Matos

Chris is the Chief Revenue Officer of Remote, leading the company's global sales, sales operations and sales enablement teams. Previously, he was the SVP of Sales and Customer Success at Glassdoor and the Chief Operating Officer at DesignCrowd. Earlier in his career, Chris held positions in business operations with Perpetual Limited, management consulting with Strategy&, and investment banking with Morgan Stanley. Chris holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a bachelor's degree in accounting and finance from the University of New South Wales.

Chris McNamara

Pedro is the VP of Finance at Remote where he is responsible for analyzing financial performance for budgeting and forecasting, managing all accounting operations, and providing strategic guidance to accelerate business expansion. He started his career in investment banking and strategy in technology, media and telecommunications. Over the last five years Pedro has been focusing on high growth tech companies and was Head of Finance at Codacy. He is the dad of two girls and a boy.

Pedro Monteiro de Barros

Iarla is directly responsible for Remote customer experience and oversees the support, CX product, and customer success teams. He has built and scaled world-class operations teams in two of the most successful tech companies in the world: Google and Stripe. His most recent experience in Stripe was leading risk management for the strategy, product, and engineering teams. In his past, Iarla has managed support, customer success, localization, logistics, engineering, and product management teams. Iarla lives on the west coast of Ireland with his family and loves road biking in his free time. 

Iarla O'Carroll

Sam is a General Counsel with experience in financial services and technology. Most recently, he built high-performing legal teams in two Deloitte Fast 50 digital companies. His legal areas of expertise are: corporate (corporate governance, M&A, fundraising, and share option schemes), commercial (outsourcing), employment, data privacy and regulatory.

Our entire team works remotely in countries around the world. We’re passionate about what a game-changer it is to have that freedom. It also attracts more talented, diverse, and interesting people to our growing company!
